Project One - Dad (Creating The Final Piece)
Process of portrait:
Each transfer sheet was hand ironed over 3 days and purposefully overcooked to fade some of the image colours - linking this to the deterioration my dad has experienced over the years. Sections have also been cut out and embroidered with the threads hanging loose to represent how with the condition the body’s myelin is damaged and stripped . The left side is frayed and uneven to represent my dads weaker and less able side of his body.
